That day, I heard the sound of people weeping, including the cry within myself. There was a part of me weeping, screaming, and returning to the past, to the time when I lost who I was.

One year has passed since I decided to be a Fulltimer for IofC Indonesia.

This year we arranged for the event to take place at the start of 2026 with the theme: "Map of the Soul: Healing the Past for the Future." We wanted the third Family Camp to be a safe harbor for inner reflection and healing wounds of the past.

The Women Creators of Peace program took place in Yogyakarta from 29 to 31 October 2025 with a clear purpose, to strengthen women as agents of peace in their families, communities, and wider society.

Kamal Kandel, who led the session, opened the contemplation using a simple yet stirring sentence: "Love is within oneself." That sentece affirms that love is not just a sweet thing to be experienced, but also a strength that enables one to heal from bitter things. That is by being able to forgive, understand, and grow. Cultivating love within oneself is not always easy, because it is often born from struggle and the courage of the self to make peace with wounds.

In this circle, we’ve learned that being a man isn’t about always being strong or having all the answers.

A home for everyone to grow and heal

From 24 May to 12 July 2025, IofC Indonesia hosted a Trust building program with the theme "Speak Up Project: Conversation for Peace."

BINUS University, through its Character Building Development Center (CBDC), together with the Trustbuilding Program of Initiatives of Change (IofC) Indonesia, hosted a one-day workshop titled “Healing the Past, Hope for the Future: Integrating Mental Health into Trustbuilding; Promoting Inner Healing and Resilience for Sustainable Peace.”
