Ramadan has arrived. The holy month for Muslims around the world. Ramadan brought the message of purity and solidarity.

Good morning from Rumah Damai (Peace House), the Center of IofC Indonesia. This house is very comfortable and serene, consisting of many rooms which we have named individually: Armagh Room, Caux Palace room, Asia Plateau room, Rock View, Valley View, Ma Mi Room, Kitchen Flat, and even the Akasha Room.

It is time for IofC Indonesia to speak more loudly for justice and equality.

Peace is not merely the absence of conflict, but rather a commitment to meeting human needs, where everyone is involved in making it happen. Peace is a process, dependent on how we live each moment; it is not just an achievement, but a journey and a way of living.  

That day, I heard the sound of people weeping, including the cry within myself. There was a part of me weeping, screaming, and returning to the past, to the time when I lost who I was.

One year has passed since I decided to be a Fulltimer for IofC Indonesia.

This year we arranged for the event to take place at the start of 2026 with the theme: "Map of the Soul: Healing the Past for the Future." We wanted the third Family Camp to be a safe harbor for inner reflection and healing wounds of the past.

Kamal Kandel, who led the session, opened the contemplation using a simple yet stirring sentence: "Love is within oneself." That sentece affirms that love is not just a sweet thing to be experienced, but also a strength that enables one to heal from bitter things. That is by being able to forgive, understand, and grow. Cultivating love within oneself is not always easy, because it is often born from struggle and the courage of the self to make peace with wounds.

The Women Creators of Peace program took place in Yogyakarta from 29 to 31 October 2025 with a clear purpose, to strengthen women as agents of peace in their families, communities, and wider society.

In this circle, we’ve learned that being a man isn’t about always being strong or having all the answers.
